A disappearing fountain could be the most appropriate option for you for a number of reasons. The water rises from underground and does not form a large pool above ground so any danger to those around it is reduced.

For this reason, it presents no threat to children. Evaporating water is also not an issue because the water supply is not exposed to heat. Consequently, your fountain will not waste as much water as other kinds of fountains. It is extremely low-maintenance since it is underground and not exposed to debris or algae.
