Although there is a lot of work involved in getting a new one designed and made, it is worth the effort for anyone who will be using it. The value of your home will go up with a lovely garden area, as it will boost the “curb appeal” of the property. Experts advise adding flowers or trees, a pavement, a lovely water feature, or unique statues to enhance the overall look of your property.

A water fountain can make a significant difference to the charm and tranquility of your garden. It will change a plain area into a breathtaking place of peaceful tranquility. You are not the only one who will enjoy the serenity the sounds of the water create; you might also notice an increase in the number of birds and other friendly animals visiting. The rest of the garden will instantly become just background to the charming new fountain.

The Newest Inclusion to the Chatsworth Gardens: Revelation Fountain

Designed by popular English sculptor Angela Conner, "Revelation" is the most recent addition to the Chatsworth decorative exterior fountains. In commemoration of the Queen’s 80th birthday celebration, she was mandated by the late 11th Duke of Devonshire to create a limited edition bust of Queen Elizabeth designed of brass and steel in 2004. “Revelation” was placed in 1999 in Jack Pond, one of Chatsworth’s first ponds. It takes the shape of four large petals crafted of steel which open and close with the water movement, alternately camouflaging and revealing a gold colored globe at the sculpture’s heart. The sculpture’s proportions are five meters high by five meters in width and incorporates a metallic globe coated with gold dust. This newest water feature is an intriguing and interesting extension to the Gardens of Chatsworth, because the movement of flower petals is totally powered by water.

Everything You Will Require for a Garden Water Feature

When considering where to set up your garden fountain, do not overlook the fact that you will need somewhere to plug it in and a convenient source of water. The joy of owning one occasionally causes people to overlook the technical details when setting it up for the first time.

If you need an extension cord to reach a 120v wall socket, feel free to use one, as conventional power cords are only 12 feet long. It will be necessary to replenish your fountain with water so make sure there is a source of water nearby. Carrying large amounts of water is difficult so you do not want to have to lug it a long way. A nearby hose can make filling the fountain much less demanding. If you have an expert on hand, you may want to look into getting a water fountain autofill with a connection to an external water line, as this would be much simpler in the long run.
