Located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the King Fahd Fountain (1985) is the tallest continually-functioning fountain in the world. Reaching incredible heights above the Red Sea, this fountain jets water 260 meters (853 feet) in the sky.

The Han-Gang River in Seoul, Korea (2002), comes in second with water heights of 202 meters (663 feet).

Next is the fountain located in Karachi, Pakistan (Port Fountain) which shoots water up to 190 meters (620 feet) in height.

Number 4 is Water at Fountain Park (1970) situated in Fountain Hills, Arizona - it can attain up to 171 meters (561 feet) when all three pumps are working, even though it typically only reaches up to 91 meters (300 feet).

The Dubai Fountain made its first appearance in 2009 next to the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa. The fountain shoots water up to 73 meters (240 feet) and performs once every half hour to pre-recorded music - and even has extreme shooters, not used in every show, which reach up to 150 meters (490 feet).

Making it in the top 8 is the Captain James Cook Memorial Jet in Canberra (1970) which measures 147 meters (482 feet).

And finally comes the Jet d'eau, in Geneva (1951) which measures 140 meters (460 feet) in height.

Your wall fountain can be mounted in one of two ways. The first is to use screws which you slide into the slots on the back. One other option is to place it on brackets you have secured to the wall. The second option is best, especially for bigger wall fountains. Mark the point on the wall where the brackets need to be mounted. Make pilot holes in the wall for your drywall anchors. Affix the anchors by carefully hammering them into the wall. Attach the brackets by making sure they are straight and then screwing them into the wall with a drill or screwdriver. At this point, hoist your unit and fit it on the mounting brackets. Check to be certain it is both secure and aligned. Add water once the wall fountain is mounted. Make certain there is enough water to cover the pump. It is now time to plug it in and watch the water circulate. Carefully add more water until it comes within an inch of the top of the basin. Be aware that it will overflow when not pumping if you fill it to the top. When the pump is off the water all settles at the bottom of the basin, causing the water level to rise. If the fountain is too full, water can spill out and cause damage to the immediate area.
